Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preform Total Organic Carbon (TOC) testing per written laboratory procedures.
Preform daily tasks such as dishwashing and depryogenating.
Assist in logging in production samples into LIMS.
Preform safety shower checks on weekly basis.
Assist in the disposal of laboratory samples, glassware, and waste.
Prepare logbooks, forms, and yellow copies of SOPs for Chemistry and Micro laboratories.
Assist in cleaning laboratory and sustaining the 5S organization.
File raw material, release (bulk powder and syringes) and stability data packets.
Assist in archiving data packets.
Prepares controls, standards, solutions, samples, and maintains proper documentation as required by the QC laboratory.
Assists in the maintenance of laboratory requirements, including reagents and supplies.
Assist in managing the QC storeroom supplies. Take inventory of laboratory supplies and assure the supplies are received in a timely manner.
Preforms all activities in a safe and conscientious manner. Maintains a clean environment and assists with periodic lab clean-ups, and moving of equipment and laboratory supplies.
Able to handle changes productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. Degree in Chemistry or other scientific-related field is strongly preferred. At minimum, and associate degree is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of three years in experience in a QC laboratory, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
Familiarity with compendial testing (i.e. USP/NF) strongly desired.
Computer skills (Excel, Word, Win95, LIMS) a plus.
Basic understanding of cGMP for QC laboratories preferred.
Must possesses communication and organization skills.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills required; must show desire and ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to function independently and responsibly with little supervision.
Must handle chemicals and bio hazardous materials.
Must be detail oriented and able to accurately follow protocols and SOPs.

One to two years laboratory experience, pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Computer skills (LIMS, Excel, Access, etc.) a plus.
Good communication and organization skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must work around chemicals, bacteria, biohazards, and dust.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.
