The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC) will support the Base Chapel on Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The CREC duties shall include the religious needs of children, grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12 and adults as well as the preparation for the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The CREC shall serve as a resource person, advisor, and coordinator of religious education for the Peterson AFB Catholic Community. The CREC shall manage the day-to-day operation of the CREC program. The CREC shall coordinate religious and worship requirements with the Catholic Chaplain. The CREC shall be able to work in a pluralistic environment in order to meet the demands of our unique parish blend.

Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates must have 2 years experience (paid or non-paid) coordinating Catholic religious educational activities.

CREC Hours of Work:
The government requires 20 hours per week, during established core office hours and weekly meetings. The core hours are: Sunday 0730-1000, Monday and Wednesday 1000-1400. These hours of work may be adjusted to accommodate evening meetings. The remaining unscheduled work hours are to be fulfilled according to the needs of the parish (i.e. scheduling, submitting request forms, overseeing programs, etc).
