Join us to change the world of wine! We are an early stage company revolutionizing how diners learn about, buy and share wines. Our customer facing iPad App, Tastevin, provides a rich, multi-media experience for exploring wines on a restaurant wine list. Behind the scenes, we work with restaurants, wholesalers and wineries, providing value to each player in the supply chain. Founded by successful wine industry veterans, we leverage a rich set of industry connections.
We’re looking for a senior software developer who is passionate about wine. Your responsibilities would include feature development and further build-out of our app and backend. Major areas of contribution will include expansion to spirits, cocktails and beer, integration with restaurant point of sale (POS) systems, gathering and analyzing rich data about purchases, demographics and inventory. We also envision a companion smartphone app among other projects.
Our iPad App is written in Objective-C and our backend is written primarily in Ruby on Rails. We’re looking for someone who has a broad background and who can come up to speed quickly on new codebases and technologies. You will be working with a team of design rock stars.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years software development experience
- Web development skills, experience with a variety of relevant technologies: HTML5, PHP, jQuery, Javascript, SQL
- Ideally will have significant Ruby on Rails and Objective-C experience
- Mobile app development experience a huge plus
- Enjoy wine country
