Striving for perfection is a given in everything we do to guarantee that we will always bring the best quality products with the latest innovation and technology.</p><p> JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p> Manufacturing leadership responsibility for all production and maintenance associates as part of the Plant Management Team working closely with Inventory Control, Warehouse and Shipping, QA and HR to ensure operational excellence in: Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Manufacturing Practices, Financial Control, Innovation, and Leadership. Ensure compliance with all company policies, labor contracts, and laws. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT STANDARDS Quarterly Plant Evaluations - Each quarter operations are evaluated covering critical performance metrics including Safety, Quality, Financial/Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Associate Turnover. These metrics measure the overall performance of the plant and leadership team.</p><p> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned: Support plant objectives in alignment with corporate strategies and business initiatives. Improve processes or operational enhancements while maintaining quality standards Lead production departments over two shifts; lead plant safety program in the plant safety coordinator role; lead the maintenance department and TPM program Work with supervisors to schedule production, department work hours, efficient staffing levels and maintenance tasks Ensure that quarterly performance indicators are driven by the plant and that associates are given the leadership and the tools to meet performance expectations Provide leadership to ensure that safety and company policies are adhered to consistently and effectively Collaborate with human resources to ensure that the practices foster attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing diverse workforce Provide leadership to ensure positive associate relations. Including ensuring Union questions and associate complaints are handled timely and professionally as within the guidelines of the CBA and company policy Coach and provide performance input to supervisors and department associates. Conduct performance management reviews as well as support ongoing performance recognition and needed performance improvement actions Introduce and champion improvement initiatives that result in lower labor cost, higher on-time shipping, and improved Safety and Ergonomics. Continuously monitor resources utilization making adjustment as needed to improve overall efficiency. Oversee plant projects</p><p> Other duties as required</p><p> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p> Manage Production and Maintenance Departments on each shift</p><p> JOB REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor Degree preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Production Operations or related field 7 years plant manufacturing experience including plant department management experience and maintenance experience Lean manufacturing training, quality and safety best practices Strong understanding of manufacturing cost controls, inventory management, HR practices, quality function, and manufacturing practices Experience with modern manufacturing techniques like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Toyota Manufacturing System, and Formal 5S Program Implementation among others. Strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong ERP experience Goal orientated with solid project management skills Excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational and oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a hands-on environment and work well independently Able to grow within the organization and take on additional responsibilities Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus</p><p> </p>
