<p> International Law Firm in NYC needs:</p><p> Professional Development Specialist</p><p> Associate Staffing Assignment Specialist</p> 2+ years staffing assignment experience working with Associates and Partners to find the right Associate to work on the matter using availability reports conjunction with their skill set. associate staffing, planning and resource management. The role will interact with the Transactional (Banking & Finance, Corporate and Capital Markets) and Litigation practices. This position will work closely with the Manager to optimize the allocation of work and ensure efficient and appropriate staffing of client matters and support associate development.<p> </p><p> RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> Assist with the staffing of time sensitive assignments Monitor associate availability Staff matters according to associate interests and availability and partner/senior associate requests Serve as primary back-up to Manager Become familiar with attorney practice areas and keep abreast of changes Review reports generated from the staffing database Track associate billable and non-billable hours Meet with associates as directed by Manager to discuss their schedule, utilization and area(s) of interest Liase with Practice Area Leaders regarding utilization and availability Identify associates interested in client or Firm secondments Document associate performance feedback as directed Work on various assignments/projects/ initiatives as needed<p> REQUIREMENTS:</p> 2+ years staffing assignment experience working with Associates and Partners to find the right Associate to work on the matter using availability reports conjunction with their skill set. High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred Minimum of two years' experience working at a law firm or other professional services firm; staffing experience required.Professional Development or Human Resources experience a plus.
