Summary:</p><p> The Buyer must have strong computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Great Plains & Reqlogic. Knowledge of Test & Measurement equipment a PLUS. The buyer must provide support to the sales team on a fast pace by finding equipment on the new and used market. The buyer will also be responsible for all commodities needed within the organization, to find suppliers, negotiate prices, get discounts and retain a relationship with vendors. Responsibilities & Essential Duties: Negotiate price concessions with vendors for requisitions Monitors and maintains purchase order program, keeps accurate records and reports Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders Develops new vendor or existing relationship and negotiates discount Establishes terms, researches and recommends new vendors; creates new vendor accounts as necessary Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates and awards contract to bidders or places orders with suppliers or mail order firms Performs research, determines product for resale and presents to sales staff and management Verifies bills from suppliers with quotes and purchase orders and approves bills for payment Creates and Processes Return to Vendor (RTV) for equipment that has been return or did not ship Verify vendor information and process all Purchase Orders from start to finish Creates reports on a weekly, monthly or fiscal year basis; Purchasing report and open purchase order report Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department Requirements: College degree required Minimum of 5 years as a Buyer for technical equipment or similar Strong computer skills: Reqlogic and GP Dynamics experience preferred Technical experience a plus Customer service oriented Great written and oral communications skills Strong negotiation and analytical skills</p><p> Compensation: DOE (includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA, 401K, and PTO) Send resume and salary requirement</p><p> Full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm</p>
