<p> Major fashion brandis seeking a Controller to manage a Finance team of 5 people, having ultimate responsibility for the production and analysis of the monthly management accounts of the US and Canadian businesses, cash flow forecasting and treasury liaison with the Global HQ. The ideal candidate will manage the year end audit process, support forecasting and budgeting processes and manage AR/chargebacks and AP ledgers as well as tax/treasury.</p><p> This role requires a hands-on approach with a strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax. Managing people closely through change and process improvement will be key, as well as the ability to business partner with non-finance managers. You will work with the business, developing great relationships with international colleagues, to design and influence upstream processes and ensure reliable, right-first-time delivery of reporting and controls.</p><p> The key responsibilities of this role are:</p><p> </p> Management of Finance Team of 5 people. Driving performance through best practice and relentless energy. Month-end process oversight. Delivering reliable and robustly challenged P&L and Balance Sheet to the VP Finance & Ops. Expert balance sheet management, overseeing great insight from first class reconciliations with sign offs and documentation held. Provide commentary and supplementary reporting for the Monthly Management Pack. US and Canada tax management. Determine requirements for new registrations and ensure reporting is sufficient, accurate and timely to third parties. Arrange subsequent claims/payments for tax and charges. Close treasury management, with cash flow reporting and forecasting key to ABL covenants. Key interim and year end audit liaison. Managing requests from auditors with confidence. Implement Purchase Order Process management help drive process improvements with the wider Finance team. Work closely with non-finance budget holders to ensure good discipline is followed and understood/enabled, such that the Management Accounts output is accurate, credible and insightful first time. Design, obtain business agreement, implement and own process controls as necessary. Ensuring policies are documented, communicated and adhered to regarding steps and sign offs. Fully understand ERP system postings and drivers, championing this knowledge to the wider business such that accuracy and insight can be ensured. Reconcile complex system driven accrual accounts to ensure aged balances are proven and periodically released as appropriate. Support wider global finance community as necessary for projects and absence cover.<p> Qualifications:</p> 5+ years related experience Advanced Excel skills, and have strong knowledge of ERP systems.<p> Salary is up to 100K</p>
