<p> Well known Telecommunications corporation in NYC needs:</p><p> Director of Sales, Telecommunications</p> 5 years Sales Management Experience Extensive knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry<p> Responsibilities:</p> The Director of Sales is responsible for directing and supporting the efforts of the Sales Team to ensure revenue growth, customer retention, and market expansion. Maximize potential revenues; meet or exceed revenue targets by directing and overseeing Sales Channel, developing policies, objectives, and initiatives including sales goals and incentive programs Develop revenue forecasts and win/loss reports on the Business Development Managers overall performance against quota on a monthly basis Evaluate the effectiveness of current sales initiatives and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential Devise strategies for generating new business through both Direct and Indirect sales Support the Business Development Managers by: Accompanying them on customer and partner appointments as needed Escalating quote or design requests with internally Ensuring that sales orders are flowing through the back-office appropriately Attending meetings in their absence/during scheduling conflicts to represent the company Hold trainings for the Sales team on new products and services Conduct monthly Sales Meetings to review previous months performance; review goals for the coming month; discuss product or service changes or suggestions, marketing needs or ideas; identify, discuss, and solve any issues. This position will involve managing RFQs, RFPs, resolving problems, and developing and implementing sales plans.<p> Responsibilities:</p> Establish sales plans and goals for the territory Expand, establish and maintain a contact list, To dramatically increase the sales and distribution of our lighting products within the region. To communicate regularly with our internal support group with such items such as: activity, opportunity follow-up and necessities, account management, lead generation and/or other items determined by the Director of Sales and Marketing. Under leadership direction negotiates contracts and prices within the limits of the sales plan and sales policy.<p> Requirements:</p> Reside in NY, NJ, CT Bachelors Degree in a business discipline 2 to 5+ years sales experience Extensive knowledge of the lighting business and in-depth knowledge of the electronics market. Industrial, commercial lighting market experience Comprehensive knowledge of agents/agency strategies and performance monitoring Experienced with CRM is a plus Demonstrated leadership capabilities Proven track record in customer relationship building with architects, specifiers, lighting designers, distributors, customers and industry Proven ability and track records of closing deals.
