Market Director Payroll and Accounts Payable Jobs

<p> Directs the personnel, operational and financial activities of the Payroll and Accounts Payable departments. Directs the implementation and maintenance of the payroll and accounts payable departments. Oversees or directs the development of policies and procedures for Payroll and Accounts Payable. Approves policies and/or seeks other approval, as appropriate. Oversees the development of functional processes. Creates and seeks approval of organizational structures. Develops short to long range goals and measures for area of responsibility and oversees the assessment of goal attainment.</p><p> Develops, seeks approval of, monitors and ensures compliance with budget for area of responsibility. Develops policies, long and short term goals, objectives and strategies for the Payroll and Accounts Payable function. Monitors operations to ensure goals are achieved. Assists the VP, Finance in the development of broader policies, goals and objectives based on DMC strategic plans. Directs the review, audit and processing of vendor invoices and reimbursable employee expenses in conformance with established accounting principles, contracts, policies and procedures.</p><p> Directs the review, audit and processing of payroll, payment of all payroll related taxes and deductions and filing of required tax returns in conformance with established accounting principles, contracts, policies and procedures. Directs the review and processing of all employee W-2 forms and vendor 1099 forms and the related reporting required for each. Reviews the accuracy of reports used for the preparation of the general ledger reporting systems.</p><p> Provides input into the development of vendor purchase agreements and payment terms that are advantageous to the corporation. Provides expert technical guidance to all levels of management within the organization on payroll and accounts payable policies, programs and practices. Selects, trains, directs, evaluates and, when necessary, disciplines or recommends discharge of subordinate staff. Develops, submits for approval and monitors adherence to annual budget.</p><p> Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies. As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.</p><p> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p><p> Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.</p><p> Five to seven years of progressively more responsible experience in payroll and/or accounts payable.</p><p> Two to three years of supervisory experience in a related area.</p><p> Experience in healthcare industry preferred.</p>
