<p> This position will develop CI strategy and implement Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) in a new product development environment to achieve the highest level of a continuous improvement culture and business performance. ACE is a UTC continuous improvement model used across all businesses world wide to generate productivity and profitability gains, reduce turn-around times, and improve customer satisfaction.</p><p> Essential functions will include:</p><p> - Establish management and measurement systems to identify areas of business performance gaps. - Participate in planning and improvement activities to close the gaps. - Work with leadership to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives using ACE. - Lead cross-functional teams through Lean, Continuous and Process Improvement efforts to drive KPI (Key Process Indicators) in quality, delivery, and cost through the application of ACE tools. - Lead the ACE Council/Guidance Management Team, support organizational development, monitor yearly KPI, and set goals for the site. - Lead a team of 4 hourly direct reports to drive ACE within the organization. - Provide organization development through training, teaching, coaching and mentoring of leaders and employees. - Plan and lead site through formal assessments to improve and sustain ACE Certifications.</p><p> Education Requirements</p><p> BA/BS degree with 5-6 years' of experience in general management or related field with a minimum of 6 years in continuous improvement, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment.</p><p> MA/MS degree with 4-7 years' of experience in general management or related field with a minimum of 6 years in continuous improvement, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment.</p><p> Basic Qualifications</p><p> - Demonstrated success in leading change and transformation efforts. - Organizational agility and ability to influence leadership and employees across all levels of the organization. - Successful experience with the execution of CI programs. - Knowledge of strategy deployment and related reporting techniques and ability to integrate business and financial objectives into CI decision-making. - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and can create effective presentation. - Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge. - Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Candidate should possess basic knowledge in the manufacturing/processing of mechanical components. - Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills, and be able to operate various software programs, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.</p><p> Preferred Qualification</p><p> - Aerospace Manufacturing environment</p><p> - Industry recognized certification in lean, six sigma or similar discipline or equivalent experience.</p><p> Required Qualification</p><p> - Once in the role, UTC ACE Associate certification must be achieved.</p>
