Oversees and manages all procurement activities for resale products, e.g. equipment, supplies and services at the required quality, at the best price, and in the right time from qualified domestic and international sources. Develops and implements purchasing procedures /processes that are in line with purchasing policies and applies/promotes purchasing practices in accordance with the Code of Conduct.


• Responsible for all procurement activities including strategy formulation, process, supply forecast and planning, sourcing, outsourcing and alignment with Global Procurement and Category Managers.
• In accordance with Porter’s Five Forces model evaluates competitive position for key commodities and develops strategies to improve the company’s position, e.g. develop alternate sources or identify alternate products.
• Develops, implements, and monitors efficient work flow process and associated work instructions fully integrated in SAP P14 that at a minimum meet applicable ISO standards to ensure high and consistent process performance as well as shorten time required to integrate new team members.
• Stays abreast of SAP P14 developments and new applications related to the Procurement Module (MM). Ensures that new applications are reviewed, implemented and applied.
• For A suppliers, negotiates annual supply agreements with year over year improvements using TQCDS (Technology-Quality-Cost-Delivery-Service) performance criteria with the goal for long term win-win partnerships.
• Identifies potential suppliers and conducts and documents full audit and evaluation based on cost, capability, capacity, delivery, service and safety.
• Continuously improves relationship and performance with existing suppliers using the TQCDS model and takes corrective action for underperforming suppliers.
• Develops and maintains an optimal supplier base for each commodity group to leverage competition and volume.
• Continuously develops cost saving ideas and proposes business case which includes potential savings and support required to implement qualified idea. Will follow up with regular reporting once cost savings idea is successfully implemented.
• Ensures that for all purchases multiple quotes are generated and evaluated to drive for optimal cost competitiveness.
• Identifies sole source suppliers (the only alternative due specialized product requirement) and works with Design and Industrial Engineering to modify specifications or evaluate new suppliers or identify substitute products to improve the company’s competitive position.
• Develops, prepares and publishes monthly procurement reports with key metrics, e.g. supplier performance, team performance, cost savings, progress of projects, etc.
• Collaborates with Inventory Management to minimize inventory exposure and working capital. Mutually agrees with Inventory Management on annual inventory targets for resale products.
• Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex contracts for equipment, and services.
• Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and conformity of items to specifications. Involves subject matter functions when needed.
• Leads, motivates and manages a team of professional buyers which includes annual performance evaluation and regular individual performance feedback. HR must be involved in all personnel decisions.
• Other duties as assigned


• A minimum four year BS degree required in Engineering or Business or related sciences. MBA referred.
• A minimum of five years’ in Supply Chain management and experience in the areas of Procurement, Supply Chain Management and/or Project Management and a total of 7-8 years total Supply Chain experience.
• Experiences in working in a Multi-National Corporation (MNC) environment as well as good understanding and appreciation of MNC culture mix.
• Hands on, strategic thinking balanced with detail oriented working habits and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Must be a Team player, able to work with people and suppliers of all kinds and from all walks of life.
• Must be a self-starter with high level of self-awareness and resilience to earn the required acceptance within the team and organization at large
• Very good analytical skills, PC skills (Microsoft Office applications), SAP skills highly preferred
• Domestic and international travel required.
