<p>Position: Cost Engineer</p><p>Location: San Diego, CA 92122</p><p>Duration: upto 12 months with possible extension (Potential for FT conversion)</p><p></p><p>Relocation Expenses/ Assistance: NO</p><p></p><p>Pay Rate: $60 - $66/hr (depending on experience)</p><p></p><p>Job Description:</p><p>Work with the Project Controls Manager to ensure that the overall Project Control System provides valid, accurate and timely information to management.Provide overall project cost, estimating, progress measurement, and change management expertise.In conjunction with the Project Controls Manager, monitor and control project controls systems and tools including:Cost Control / Forecasting methods for VenaBudgeting & EstimatingProgress MeasurementOther applicable processes and tools (ex. SAP PO Reporting, Ariba PO Tracking / Quickbase PO Forecasting)Support Project Controls Team and PMs with ongoing project cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and Change Management.Assist in the development and documentation of Control Estimates, Change Orders and Budgets (annual and multi-year), and ensure that these products reflect the approved project design/execution scopeAnalyse cost and schedule trends, develop and review cost and schedule forecastsPrepare and review monthly cost reports (budgets, forecasts, expenditures, commitments)Review Project Accounts monthly report for actual invoice bookingsDevelop monthly expenditure and commitment forecastsMonitor and report on cost and schedule implications of changesAssist in the development and preparation of bid package cost information and tabulation (As Required)Support preparation of funding estimates and budgets, workflows and approvalsAnalyse cost, schedule and progress trends developed by contractor in conjunction with the Project Manager & Project Controls Manager.Evaluate contractor pay application for approval/payment (As Required)Assist in the review and analysis of cash flow development and expenditures inclusive of AFU and contingency.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Job Requirement:</p><p>Bachelor's degree required.6-10 years experience on EPC or EPCM projects, preferably from the construction/field services side.Experience in the use of project planning tools, e.g. Primavera (Primavera P3 Project Planner) and conversant with the use of SAP, Ariba, Vena, Tableau and MS Excel.Adaptability to changing priorities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p>
