Indirect Purchasing (IDP) is a global organisation with highly skilled and motivated employees located in Sweden, Belgium, China, Malaysia, India and USA. We have the responsibility for purchasing of Non-Production Material, Logistics, Machinery & Tooling, Services and IT within Volvo Car Group. Our task is also to provide ongoing support for related projects and vehicle programs. We are responsible for development of supplier collaboration together with internal stakeholders in order to reach Volvo Cars’ cost, quality and environmental requirements.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our IDP team. You will join a diverse team of 12 skilled buyers in a dynamic environment where we transform the supply chain at Volvo Cars US. We are now looking for a Senior Buyer- Sourcing Analyst, responsibilities include: working with current and future vendors on payment terms, market analytics, cost modelling, detailed spend analytics, assist with purchasing responsibilities for multiple locations across the US, to name a few.

You will be located and operate from the Charleston area.

•Work with existing vendors on incorporating Volvos key terms (policies, Ts&Cs, payment terms, SLAs, etc.)
•Run data analytics on relative data points, create consistency within inconsistent data
•Assist sourcing activities and find business opportunities
•Facilitate process changes, change management/behavioural change with your identified projects
•Facilitate sourcing specification documentation
•Present savings opportunities to executive management team
•Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects and deliverables at the same time
•Ensure purchasing processes are followed and enhanced

•University degree or equivalent experience in business, data analytics
•Experience in presenting and interacting with executive management
•Change management experience
•Able to Multitask (able to track, manage, and execute on chosen strategy)
•Ability to work co-operatively in teams and to independently drive and complete tasks
