<p>Job Title - Lead Technical Support Engineer</p><p>Location - Philadelphia, PA</p><p>Duration - 12 Months</p><p>THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION=</p><p>MUST HAVE: Industrial Power Electronics Software experience and Controls of them</p><p>MUST HAVE: Electrical Engineering degree and/or Computer based degree</p><p>Lead Technical Support Engineer MV Variable Speed Drives</p><p>Role Summary/Purpose</p><p>The MV Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Field Service Engineer (FSE) will provide technical expertise and field engineering support for the Power Conversion Service business. The role will require knowledge of VSD control theory including the capability to observe and understand software. Field engineering support provides field service and engineering capability to support customers and field engineering teams with Drive system maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.</p><p>Essential Responsibilities</p><p> The FSE ensures that field engineering and technical support is provided with accuracy, quality, and timeliness in order to meet customer needs and business goals. In this role, you will: Execute field service locally and remotely on Power Conversion Drive system problems Support customers locally and remotely regarding Drive system problems Retain links with the engineering teams working on current and future Drive systems Provide support to engineering teams working on Drive system upgrade projects Support the bidding process for Drive system upgrade prospects Support execution of modification and upgrade engineering of Drive systems Develop structured system upgrade packages to maximize engineering re-use Identify new opportunities & drive development of effective offerings to improve in-service equipment reliability / availability Provide technical support for new unit installation / startup and other outage work scopes This role is based in Philadelphia, primarily supporting a Naval test bench project. There will be a requirement to support other Power Conversion projects dependent on work load</p><p>Qualifications/Requirements</p><p> Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college Minimum of 5 years of experience with MV Drive systems</p><p></p><p>Desired Characteristics</p><p> Master's Degree in Engineering 5 years of experience within an engineering environment Practicable working knowledge of Automation and Dynamic Positioning application software Effective team building and problem solving abilities Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers Familiarity with a variety of engineering areas Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives Displays good interpersonal skills is accessible and approachable Anticipates customer needs and ensures they are met Measures processes and performance through the customer's eyes Communicates messages clearly and concisely Can energize teams through inclusiveness and connection with people Builds loyalty and commitment</p><p></p>
