<p>Controlling Director of North America- (AUTOMOTIVE)</p><p>Troy MI</p><p>Our client is an International Company dedicated to the design, development, and manufacture of metal components and structural systems for the automotive industry.</p><p>Over the past few years, our client has expanded into a Global Automotive Supplier with over 90 production facilities, 15 R & D facilities in 19 countries. Our client consists of 9 manufacturing facilities (Six in the US, three in Mexico), a workforce of 2200+ and Divisional Headquarters located in Troy, Michigan.</p><p>The Controlling Director North America will manage the plant controllers including the preparation of monthly reporting, monthly forecasts, 5-year strategic plans and ongoing performance reporting to targets. Responsibilities include detailed involvement in the financial analysis of plant performance versus targets and the development, tracking, and execution of improvement plans as required. Must be able to effectively interact across all levels of the organization including executive management. Will be required to mentor multiple controllers and analysts in the department in areas of finance and general business acumen.</p><p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>Lead and directs Plant Controllers in the preparation of monthly reporting, rolling forecasts, 5-year strategic plans and ongoing performance reporting to targets.Drive Divisional action plans and initiatives to achieve the annual financial results for sales/profit and year-over-year improvements in working capital at each plant operation.Be an active management participant in the development of corrective actions and solutions for business operational and continuous improvement activities. Effectively and proactively collaborate with various plants to drive business performance, financial acumen and accountability.Manage, review, and control capital expenditures for approved new business cases, to add incremental facility and equipment capacity based on the business plan, and ongoing replacement and maintenance of facilities equipment.Provide and direct procedures necessary to assure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting guidelines. In addition, ensure effective internal controls are in place at plants and division to ensure continued control and protection of its assets and accurate reporting of its financial position.Establish and monitors plant accounting policies, programs, and methods applicable to cost and inventory accounting and ensure that proper standard costs and inventory systems are maintained by each plant.Assist, as needed, with financial analysis and due diligence of division growth through both organic growth and acquisitions of businesses which complement the long-term strategy of the Division.Experience in meeting and achieving Sarbanes-Oxley compliance criteria.</p><p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p><p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p><p>Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related acumen; MBA and/or CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial and operational analysis, and management level responsibilities within the accounting and finance organization.Ability to manage and develop a group of plant accounting and finance personnel.Ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneouslyStrong knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.Demonstrated experience with ERP and financials systems such as SAP, Hyperion, QAD, etc.</p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p><p>Automotive experience at large Tier 1 supplier or OEM required.</p><p>Requires excellent interpersonal skills.Demonstrated strong work ethic and unquestionable integrity.Ability to travel 40-50% of the time, both domestic and international.Effective communication and presentation skills.</p>
