Sr. Estimator - Remediation and Civil Construction Jobs

<p>We currently have a full time permanent position for a Sr. Estimator in Denver, CO.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1.Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures related to cost estimates2.Managing, administrating, and training personnel on the estimating software (HCSS).3.Maintaining resource libraries4.Coordinating and scheduling all required bid opportunity meetings and reviews5.Participating in bid and no-bid recommendations to Senior Management6.Participating in the development of risk matrix and corresponding mitigation measures for all bid opportunities7.Reviewing project plans and specifications and coordinating with the Capture Team to confirm that the complete scope is understood8.Solicitation of all subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing9.Manage quantity takeoffs for development of cost definition10.Manage and develop project schedules for bids and proposals11.Managing the development of all cash flow analysis for bid opportunities12.Coordinating insurance requirements with Risk Manager13.Coordinating technical proposal requirements with Proposals and Marketing Departments14.Reviewing constructability issues with Capture Teams15.Development of alternate approaches including value engineering16.Participating in client interviews and contract negotiations17.Transferring estimate and proposal information to field teams if project is awarded18.Traveling on an as needed basis to assigned proposals and associated projects19.Establishing and maintaining a safe culture throughout bid cycle and in transfer to the project level20.Tracking estimates against actual project performance21.Tracking and reporting estimating statistics to management on a weekly and monthly basis22.Assisting in the preparation and review of work plans as requested23.Participating in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriate24.Must have and maintain a valid drivers license25.Performing other duties as assigned</p><p></p><p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:1.Proficiency with estimating software, preferably with HCSS Heavybid and understanding of scheduling software (Primavera)2.Possess strong mathematical and computer skills3.Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)4.Expertise in remediation services (expertise in industrial demolition desired but not required).5.Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities6.Ability to work in a team environment7.Ability and willingness to abide by SOPs8.Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done9.Effective oral and written communication skills10.Must be willing to travel up to 30.Candidates must possess a strong work ethic12.Demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal skills13.Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies14.Ability to analyze and resolve complex construction engineering problems15.Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing16.Excellent customer relations skills17.Thorough understanding of construction, contracts and terminology18.Understand basic behavior based safety programs and enforce Companys safety policies19.Must meet medical requirements of the job site (Hazardous waste)</p><p></p><p>Education and Experience1.Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a technical field preferred.2.Minimum of 5 years previous construction experience with at least 2 years as an Estimator or Estimate Lead.3.Estimating experience on bid opportunities valued at $10M and greater.4.An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.</p>
