SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working on quality/production/improvement strategies for finished materials operations (Distribution Center and Service Center). Tasks will include the development and reengineering of distribution/manufacturing, metrics, and production management. This person will support the work of individuals on a given project and provide the experience and expertise required for the successful process improvement project. Interface with the customer and all internal departments is crucial to this position. This position will also be involved in the compilation, coordination and presentation of reports and creating and monitoring KPIs to support customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continuous Operations Improvement
•Apply statistical methods and develop mathematical models to determine processes and standards
•Recommend methods for improving utilization of material, product flow
•Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve concerns, maximize process reliability, and minimize cost
•Develop consistent Value Stream Maps (VSM) and standardized process documentation
•Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer
•Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
•Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
•Analyze statistical data and process specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives

KPI Development and Dashboard Monitoring
•Create reporting dashboards for internal and external customers
•Develop and run periodic database queries to collect accurate data
•Oversee reporting dashboard maintenance
•Support customer ad-hoc reporting requests
•Identify process improvement opportunities
•Use communications skills to clearly present options and costs to the customer
•Create clear work instruction

REQUIREMENTS:
•Degree in supply chain/logistics/transportation, engineering or a related field (Master's preferred)
•5 years' experience in manufacturing, quality, warehouse
•Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
•Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
•Flexibility in a fast paced ever-changing environment
•Self-motivated
•Effective presentation, time management and planning skills
•Effective verbal/written communication skills that relate to all levels of management
•Interest in learning more about the supply chain/logistics industry
•Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
•Must have proficiency in statistical analysis, simulation and mathematical modeling (CPLEX/Gurobi, Matlab, Minitab strongly preferred)
•Good grasp of workflow systems such as WMS/ERP (SAP preferred)
•Experience in relational databases, SQL queries
•Experience in programming languages (VBA, Python preferred)
•Skilled in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel user)
•Lean Manufacturing knowledge
•Accredited Six-Sigma green belt certification or will complete within 6 months of employment commencement
