<p></p><p>Quality Engineer</p><p>Roanoke VA</p><p>Our client is an energetic and growth oriented Cosmetic company in Roanoke VA. They are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on on a variety of projects that will directly improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of a vibrant manufacturing plant.</p><p>The Quality Engineer provides compliance support to the manufacturing plant</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</p><p>Primary responsibilities are:</p><p>Responsible for documentation of non-conformances, customer complaints, and CAPA reports into QCBD and lead investigations to close the documents to completion. Forward documents to a customer as necessary and response to customer concerns with regards to quality.</p><p>Develop and maintain documents which support theQuality Management System (QMS)</p><p>Responsible for project management/oversight of plant improvements.Interface with customers and review data during first production fill trials.</p><p>Perform cGMP audits throughout the facility.</p><p>Participate in the training of Line Leaders/Techs and Assembly personnel for new product fills.</p><p>Support the internal quality auditing system.Record and analyze data from first production fills and trial runs and communicate formal report and findings back to the production team and the customer.</p><p>Play a key role in all customer and regulatory audits</p><p>Develop and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods for both product and process improvement.</p><p>Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations</p><p>Performs analysis and identifies trends in products and processes and recommends corrective actions when necessary</p><p>Support manufacturing operations from a quality perspective and participates in strategic development activities when requested</p><p>Track quality assurance metrics Act as Quality Manager backup</p><p>Perform other duties as needed or assigned</p><p>DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.</p><p>Education:</p><p>Bachelor's Degree in an applied science or engineering fieldExperience:</p><p>3 years prior experience in Quality Assurance for personal care, OTC, Drug or device products</p><p>Knowledge of ISO 9001 and process improvement tools/techniques and experience</p><p>Familiar withValidation techniques</p><p>Must be able to combine and analyze quality data</p><p>Manage, execute, and track various validation projects. (Facility, Equipment qualifications, Cleaning/sanitizing validation, Software, Process Validation, and Change control)</p><p>Able to participate in a team-oriented environment, willingness to assist and train others</p><p>Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process</p><p>TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED</p><p>Work with industrial manufacturing equipment on production line</p><p>Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment</p><p>re, Process Validation, and Change control)</p><p>Able to participate in a team-oriented environment, willingness to assist and train others</p><p>Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process</p><p>TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED</p><p>Work with industrial manufacturing equipment on production line</p><p>Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment</p>
