<p>Company in Fremont, CA that designs mission-critical computing solutions is currently seeking Hardware Engineers to work in a team on leading edge digital computer board designs. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of products, from rugged credit card sized embedded computers to enterprise-class servers, targeted for industrial and military applications.</p><p>Work in a friendly small company environment and with leading edge technology.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>Schematic board level design including:Intel/AMD x86, Arm, SoC, MicrocontrollerPoint of load and front end power supplyEthernet switches and NICsPCIe, USB, SAS, SATA, Ethernet (copper, QSGMII, etc.), HDMI, DisplayPort, I2C, Serial InterfacesHigh-speed memory interfaces (e.g. DDR4)Low jitter clocksSERDES at >10Gb/sCPLD and FPGACommercial and rugged connector pinout definitionDesign for extended temperature operationInterpret Design Requirements, write Functional and Design SpecificationsComponent selection, datasheet interpretation, part request and symbol creationEMC and EMI complianceDefine cable specificationsPLD HDL and simulationPCB layout and route requirementsIntegrate design with other boards and other departments to meet product goalsTest Plans, prototype bring up and Design Verification TestingTransition to manufacturingParticipate in system and peer design reviewsSupport New Product IntroductionWork in a small team environment</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>6+ years of experience in board level digital hardware designStrong written and verbal skillsProven experience in high speed and complex designsExperience in PLD HDL and simulationGood understanding of product development lifecycleDetail oriented and self-motivated with a passion for electronics and skill improvementExpertise in creative problem solving and hardware debugGood time managementTest equipment experienceScripting (Python, etc.) for board bring-up/test and design automation improvementsMicrosoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Visio</p><p>Education:</p><p>Bachelor or Master of Science in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering</p><p>Bonus Skills:</p><p>Orcad/Allegro experienceMicrocontroller or SoC C programmingComplex FPGA HDL design and simulationSubcontractor managementEMI lab work</p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Job Location:</p><p>Fremont, CA</p><p>Required education:</p><p>Bachelor's</p><p>Required experience:</p><p>board level digital hardware design: 5 yearsscripting (Python, etc.) for board bring up/test: 3 years</p>
