<p>Industrial Manufacturing EngineerRoanoke, VA</p><p>Our client is a Global personal care manufacturer, their seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.</p><p>Primary responsibilities:</p><p>Prepare quotes with labor costing and analysis for new and ongoing business opportunitiesPartner with Quality Assurance, Production and Maintenance and conduct production line trials for the new projects before going into production launch; resolve quality issues, NCMRs, and CARs as neededCommunicate with other teams QA, Production, Maintenance, R&D, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing and Customer regarding engineering related issues.Design, develop and maintain work measurement tools (labor efficiency reports, OEE, Production boards, Downtime reports)Create and Maintain Direct Labor standards for all new projects and existing projects in the database, capacity and work center recordsDevelop and implement Direct Labor efficiency improvement projects; conduct / facilitate team meetings to reduce the downtime and solve problems.Perform profitability analysis on SKU's with regards to Direct Materials and Direct Labor and advise cost increases as necessaryPerform Capacity Analysis as required. Assist in determining tooling requirementsTeam up with Quality Assurance for resolving quality issues, NCMRs and Help writing CARs and implement CARs.Create/write Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) for requesting the capital to be funded for proposed projects and provide cost savings.Implement cost saving projects and track labor savingsCoordinate / Validate Line Trial and packaging validation results and communicate any variances to labor standards prior to production startup.Support to Develop and Implement CAPEX / Non-CAPEX Cost Savings Strategy / Objectives in the areas of Productivity, Capacity, Efficiency, Quality, & Safety.Participation on Safety, Quality, and Operations Improvement Teams / Committees.</p><p>Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.</p><p>Experience:</p><p>2-8 years of experience (preferably in personal care, cosmetics, or other consumer goods) in an engineering, technical support or project engineering role.Comprehensive knowledge of related manufacturing operations, equipment, and processes.Results oriented and able to effectively organize and develop plans; prioritize and execute actions.Proficient technical, analytical, statistical and organization skills.Experience conducting time and motion study/line balancing skillsIntermediate or advanced level skills with MS OfficeEffective interpersonal communication skills that can be used to build/sustain business relationships internal customers (i.e., production, maintenance, quality, etc.) and external clientsDemonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process</p>
